Hello, my name is Luca and I’m an illustrator. 

Visually, my work is distinguishable through its high detail, contrast, and intricate line-work, which is often monochrome throughout both my digital and traditional pieces, with an occasional spot color. I lean towards monochrome palettes in my work for several reasons, one being that the simplicity can create a more intimate viewing experience as it forces the eye to focus more on the nuances within my pieces. A majority of my personal work also tends to feature scientific themes and poems or other text pieces I’ve written that are mostly based around the struggles of mental illness, though I tend to keep those themes localized to specific bodies of work.

 

My mission as an illustrator is to create a safe, intimate space in which viewers are welcome to interpret pieces as they relate to their own struggles in life and find solace through feelings that are hard to put into words.
